Run and Walk For Food and Shelter

27th Annual NSKS Run & Walk for Food & Shelter

UPDATE:

All of us at the Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter have been closely monitoring the rapidly changing situation around COVID-19.

Out of an abundance of caution, we believe it is critical to do our part to help reduce the transmission of the COVID-19.

We are postponing our 27th Annual NSKS Run/Walk for Food & Shelter, which was scheduled to be held on Sunday, April 5th, 2020 at the Muldoon Fitness Center at Rivier University.

We are working on securing a future date in 2020 for our fundraiser run/walk and will send you an update via email when that information becomes available.

Our Race/Walk is one of our two major fundraisers that provides funding for our much needed services and programs within our community.

Our commitment to the community keeps us standing and ready to help the vulnerable families and individuals in the Greater Nashua area who currently are lacking resources to access a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food.

However, with the postponement of our fundraiser, we are asking for your help. We realize even more people in our community will be in need of our services.
If you’d like to make a financial contribution, which would allow us to purchase additional food for our dining room and food pantry, follow these guidelines.

If you are a restaurant owner, or part of restaurant management, and have excess food, please consider donating it to NSKS. If you are a business, civic group or family that are able to donate non-perishable foods for our Food Pantry, we are grateful.

Our Board and Staff have discussed how we will be making safe, healthy changes to be able to continue to serve our meals and distribute food from our food pantry.

We will continue to serve a modified breakfast Monday – Friday and Dinner every day of the week.

We will implement and support social distancing with all of our services.

Thank you and on behalf of our entire Board, Staff, and Volunteers, we wish you and your family peace and health through this difficult time.
