Happy Holidays!

There are two ways of spreading light– to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.

Executive Directors Blog

One of my favorite lines from Robert Frost reads ‘Home is the place where, when you have to go there, they have to take you in.’ As I look back over my first year, there was never a sense of hesitation or caution but always a warm welcome from NSKS and the broader Nashua community. And of course, as I think about it, the welcome that greeted me is the same welcome we try to bring each and every day to those who are the most vulnerable and at risk in the community: the grandmother who finds herself being full-time mom to her grandchildren; the person newly in recovery here for breakfast; the six-year-old who was worried where she would sleep tonight.

Regardless of the situation, we greet everyone with kindness and the knowledge that, at least for the present moment, this place is a place we can call home. Thank you for your support and making 2017 a wonderful year.

– Michael Reinke, Executive Director
